Colorado Springs is probably, Bart figures, as good a place to start as any, which is convenient, seeing as how that's where his door leads. And it's a pretty good view to begin with; mountains have that affect.

To be rather more specific, his door deposits them directly outside a mall; it's probably best not to ask what he was doing in there previous to entering the bar. It doesn't really matter, anyway, because now he turns to Jenny with a grin.

"Welcome to Earth."

Elevation: 6,370 feet.

There are mountains. There's a giant building behind her. And it's all amazing. Jenny can't stand still at all. She turns around slowly, yet quickly, trying to take everything at once.

Her eyes are as wide as saucers by the time she actually looks at Bart. "Is it all like this?"

"Nah. This is just a sample of one tiny part of Earth."

Smug grin.

Normally she'd tease him for that grin, but right now, Jenny's suspecting it might be a grin he actually deserves.

"One tiny part?" Pause. "What part?"

"Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States. Lots of mountains."

Very specific, him.

A little too specific maybe.

"What?"

"Uh."

WHOOSH.

And then, suddenly Bart is unfolding a map of the United States that he may or may not have stolen just then.

He points to the map as a whole. "This is the United States, one of the countries on Earth." And then Colorado. "Colorado, one of the States in the United States." And a vague finger-point in the direction of Colorado Springs. "Where we are."

Okay. Countries. She's heard of them before, specifically Earth based countries.

Jenny leans her head towards him as they look over the map, carefully following his finger-point at Colorado Springs. She taps it too, and then traces a line westward.

"What's the rest of the United States like?"

"I could show you. Free tour."

Right, like she's going to refuse an offer like that.

"I think I like the sound of that."

Hey, he can do that.

After a bit of ado- seriously, how are you supposed to re-fold the things?- he tucks the map into his backpack and scoops Jenny up into his arms.

"Ready?"

She giggles and wraps her arms around his, kissing his cheek quickly. "Where to first?"

"How about-"

He doesn't finish the sentence. That's because, at times, Bart operates on a strict thought-to-action regimen, without time for talking it out.

There is, however, time for Jenny to see the sights- well, the very blurry sights, before they land on a beach.

"-California?"

Very, very blurry sights. And yet, Jenny keeps her eyes open for all of it, past the mountains and plateaus and cities and cars and people.

No one ever notices them. When they stop, her sweatshirt suddenly feels way too warm. But it's worth it.

"Oh! This is increadible. Look at all the people out there on the beach!"

And they're not really dressed for it.

(People do kinda notice, given it's California, onna beach, and it's practically always warm there.)

Bart is unbothered. He's taking the map out of his backpack and attempting to unfold it again. "Laguna Beach, California."

(He's kinda pointing slightly off from the right spot, but it's not like it matters, right?)

She's already in the process of pulling off the sweatshirt when he looks at the map. She joins him a few seconds later, looking over his shoulder again.

"That anywhere notable?"

"Beach!"

There is the possibility it is notable to him, but the world may never know.

She nods, suddenly distracted by the surfers. Her eyes widen. They didn't have anything like that on that last beach they were on.

"Are there lots of beaches in California?"

"Yeah."

But this is a representative sample.

Ish.

"And surfers."

Why yes, he noticed what she's looking at.

Surfers. So that's what they are.

"It looks like fun!"

"Yeah, it probably is."

She finally looks away from the surf and towards Bart. "You ever try it?"

"Nah."

He probably should, though. Eventually.

"Oh."

A part of her was hoping he would have. Jenny frowns slightly, attention quickly turning aback to the surfers.

"Well. It still looks like fun."

This, Bart considers, may have to be their second jaunt to Earth. Or something.

In the meantime: "Ready for the next destination?"

She takes one last longing look at the surfers and nods. "Yeah. Surprise me!"
