Colorado Springs is probably, Bart figures, as good a place to start as any, which is convenient, seeing as how that's where his door leads. And it's a pretty good view to begin with; mountains have that affect.

To be rather more specific, his door deposits them directly outside a mall; it's probably best not to ask what he was doing in there previous to entering the bar. It doesn't really matter, anyway, because now he turns to Jenny with a grin.

"Welcome to Earth."

Elevation: 6,370 feet.

And they're not really dressed for it.

(People do kinda notice, given it's California, onna beach, and it's practically always warm there.)

Bart is unbothered. He's taking the map out of his backpack and attempting to unfold it again. "Laguna Beach, California."

(He's kinda pointing slightly off from the right spot, but it's not like it matters, right?)

(It's not like Jenny would notice, anyway.)

She's already in the process of pulling off the sweatshirt when he looks at the map. She joins him a few seconds later, looking over his shoulder again.

"That anywhere notable?"

"Beach!"

There is the possibility it is notable to him, but the world may never know.

She nods, suddenly distracted by the surfers. Her eyes widen. They didn't have anything like that on that last beach they were on.

"Are there lots of beaches in California?"

"Yeah."

But this is a representative sample.

Ish.

"And surfers."

Why yes, he noticed what she's looking at.

Surfers. So that's what they are.

"It looks like fun!"

"Yeah, it probably is."

She finally looks away from the surf and towards Bart. "You ever try it?"

"Nah."

He probably should, though. Eventually.

"Oh."

A part of her was hoping he would have. Jenny frowns slightly, attention quickly turning aback to the surfers.

"Well. It still looks like fun."

This, Bart considers, may have to be their second jaunt to Earth. Or something.

In the meantime: "Ready for the next destination?"

She takes one last longing look at the surfers and nods. "Yeah. Surprise me!"

He can do that!

...Oh wait, she meant destination, not that kiss, right? No problem, he can sweep her up in his arms again and carry her off at superspeed at the same time!

And when they come to a stop it's at the top of the Grand Canyon. Ta-da!

Either way, it's a good surprise. Both are, really. Jenny barely has time to register the kiss before they're off again, her sweatshirt trailing from her hand in the wind behind them.

They come to a stop and this time, she doesn't bother to get out of his arms. Instead she places a hand on his cheek and kisses him back.

She'll notice the kind of amazing canyon in a moment.

Yeah, well. It's clearly secondary, anyway.

And when she does eventually pull away, he has a smug grin on his face.

"Show off," she giggles, carefully helping herself out of his arms.

Three, two, on--

"Wow!"

"And this," he says, sweeping his arms out grandly, "is the Grand Canyon."

For obvious reasons.

"Good name," Jenny chirps in cheerfully. She can't take her eyes off of it. The canon seems to stretch on forever and it goes down so very far and the trees and the desert and the river below. "Really fitting. Really amazing."

"I know."

Smugger Bart is smugger.

"Like increadible," she continues, beaming at him. "How'd it get here?"

Uh-

"Erosion."

:D?

"Erosion. A lot of erosion, I'd imagine. Over a really long, long time. Thousands of years, I think."

Jenny giggles, shaking her head in amazement.

"Are there a lot of places in the United States like this?"

"Not exactly like this. This one's kinda one-of-a-kind."

Jenny walks towards the edge of the canyon, falling to her knees and trying to look as directly downward as she can.

She turned her head, regarding Bart curiously for a moment. "What about on Earth?"

"Uh. The Colca Canyon. Peru."
