Bart's door opens onto the inside of a (FANCY-SCHMANCY) restaurant, the name of which the narration will not divulge at this time. Bart managed to set up a reservation, under a v. fake name, and use some of the money from Inari to pay for this, so... they're good.

And he holds the door open for Jenny. HE IS A GENTLEMAN, you see.

They stop at table nicely located off to the left, near a window looking out on the sparkling city skyline. Jenny glances out the window and then back at Bart.

"It's really, really pretty! Yes!"

"Great."

The hostess... will leave them nao, kthnx. Waiter will be along shortly. In the meantime, look! Menus!

She glances down at the menu, brow wrinkling a little as she considers the options. This isn't like any other place she had been to before. There were so many options and the prices seemed quite high compared to the places Jenyn had gone to before.

"Bart? What's an appetizer?"

"It's... something you eat before the main course."

HE IS A PERVAYER OF HAUTE COUTURE.

He squints at the menu.

"I think... that's probably more of a question for the waiter."

"Why'd you pick it?"

"Um, it looked good. Got... good reviews and whatever."

Good reviews. It wasn't something Jenny ever used before to select a restaurant or any other place to visit, but it sounded very official. Very date like.

She nodded, looking happy with that answer.

"I like that."

So, the waiter wanders up. They get a spiel about the specialties etc., but nothing about the wines because the waiter has EYES.

Ahem.

Not that Jenny notices. Which is probably for the best, given the number of questions underage drinking would've spurned.

"There's still a lot to chose from," she states when the waiter leaves. "How do I know which I should get?"

"Just pick whatever looks the best. Or you could shut your eyes and point and order that."

Jenny laughs, glancing down at the menu again. "What are you going to get?"

He's... going slow?

He hasn't actually eaten at a fancy restaurant for a while.

She's going slowly too. There are so many things to chose from, after all.

"I like onions. And I like soup. I think I'll try that."

Of course he goes for the bread. Jenny giggles, mildly nervous, and glances at the menu again. "And the grilled tuna, I think. That's an Earth fish, isn't it?"

...Bart is not a picky eater, however.

She beams at him and nods, stealing one more glance down at the menu.

"I'll get that then."

Awkward silence indeed. Jenny fiddles with her napkin and glances at Bart. Is this what people do on dates?

If so, she doesn't know if she likes it very much.
